It is, and also very dangerous. My ex-husband was a firefighter. Years ago a fellow firefighter was nearly killed when he was blasted in the chest with a firehose while working on a house fire. He suffered multiple broken ribs, and both lungs collapsed. He was in the hospital for about week after.
