i would imagine in 3rd world countries things that aren't a big deal here (like mumps and measles) would be fatal

    Something as (to us) simple as diarrhea can kill children quickly in third world countries simply because people don't have the means to deal with simple medical problems. It's pretty depressing that people suffer so.
