I don't get asking parents to go online I have never asked mom permission to go online

  1. That's because you're too smart and too much of a badass to get into trouble on the internet like a lot of teens do.

  2. Sara...you never asked because I gave you access before you did. Remember that I used to work for a school district and prepared you and your brother for how to act on the internet. And, you may not remember, I MONITORED everything you and your brother did online for years. Spooky, huh? I had both a right and a responsibility to do so. So I did...

  3. Both my parents worked at my elementary school--Dad in the district office and Mom as a teacher's aide. They figured that, by the time my younger brothers and I got to the internet, we'd have been through the "DO NOT DO" stuff in our library classes.

Though mine did what your mom did: watched us like a hawk with internet for years. Heck, my parents STILL block "mature" shows on our den TV. (We're 21, 20, and 18 and they STILL do this.)
