    I quote wikipedia:

    "The boll weevil (Anthonomus grandis) is a beetle measuring an average length of six millimeters, which feeds on cotton buds and flowers. Thought to be native to Central America, it migrated into the US from Mexico in the late 19th century and had infested all US cotton-growing areas by the 1920s, devastating the industry and the people working in the American south. During the late 20th century it became a serious pest in South America as well. Since 1978, the Boll Weevil Eradication Program in the US has allowed full-scale cultivation to resume in many regions."

    Its actually a boll weevil, a little beetle, about 6 mm in size, that eats cotton.

    And its important to note that if one has to choose between 2 boll weevils, one should pick the smaller one, because its always better to choose the lesser of 2 weevils.

    When I went to primary school we used to sing a song about the Boll Weevil. It goes:

    The boll weevil is a little black bug comes from Mexico they say. The first time I saw a boll weevil he was looking for a place to stay
    Just a lookin for a home...Just a lookin' for a home. I'll sing it to you sometime. Won't you just love that? LOL Nanci
